FDMTL x master-piece FLAP BACKPACK
The main fabric is a 320d nylon twill in both directions, treated with a special process called Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd.'s Konbu®-N, which gives it flexibility yet firmness enough to stand on its own. Its greatest feature is its dry, firm texture, reminiscent of the seafood kelp. The original boro and denim patchwork pattern by "FDMTL" (Fundamental) is printed on this special fabric, also from Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd., using Mona Lisa®, an original fabric created with vivid digital printing using a wide range of 16.7 million colors and advanced color control technology. Mona Lisa® is an environmentally friendly material that does not use unnecessary dyes or chemicals, and significantly reduces the water, resources, and energy required for processing compared to conventional methods. The included fabric is a combination of INVISTA's 1000d Cordura® nylon and 1680d Cordura ballistic® nylon, which offers approximately five times the abrasion, tear strength, and durability of regular nylon. The included leather is 1.8mm thick eco-nume cow leather (NISSENKEN OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified), tanned with 100% vegetable tannins and made without the use of any chemicals, dyes, or other substances harmful to the human body, including hexavalent chromium.
Based on master-piece's classic link series, this collaborative series combines FDMTL's iconic rag and denim patchwork pattern with printed fabric that has a clarity that surpasses traditional printing processes using the high-precision processing technology of Konbu®-N and Mona Lisa®, and a variety of different materials that are unique to master-piece.
